I would like to tell those of you that look at the photographs of the Afghan people in this gallery, that the people whom I have photographed are innocent people, as innocent as the vast majority of Afghans and those so many people killed by vicious terrorism in the United States. The Afghan people are under
the dictatorship of mad religious fanatics called the Taliban. Their country
is embroiled in a vicious civil war. Many of the Afghans portrayed in this gallery, such as Samiullah the young warrior and artist, have been killed. The moderate Afghan resistance leader, Ahmad Shah Masood, was a victim of an assasination just prior to the atrocities committed in the United States, by the same savages that are responsible for the huge tragedy
in America. My heartfelt sympathy to the victims and their families
murdered in this horrendous terrorist act. Justice will prevail.
